A looming education crisis - We conducted a research in the mid-2019 and we discovered that education has suffered greatly in the midst of the crisis. At least more than 150 primary schools remain closed because of the insecurity in the far north, it is estimated that about 30,000 school-aged children are out of school. Teachers have fled without returning, and most schools lack basic equipment to host students... The Shield Safety Foundation is committed to providing education for children and young adults in delicate settings, many of whom are at risk of dropping out or being left behind. Our vision is for education to be fundamentally lifesaving and life-transforming. Ultimately, we want education to equip children and young people to be the architects and guardians of their own and their communities' futures.
