We also work nationwide to save lives, fight against injuries and deaths and support the less-privileged who have lost everything due to natural disaster, war and conflicts or disease and improve their health, safety and well-being. With your donation you can end the suffering and relief people from their pain. We run a 24/7 helpline by providing support to help bereaved and seriously injured victims cope with their grief, deal with bewildering practical matters and access the help they need.

Road Safety
The Shield Safety Foundation (TSSF) is committed to promoting road safety and reducing the alarming rate of traffic accidents that claim countless lives daily. Our road safety program focuses on awareness campaigns, driver education, pedestrian protection, and advocacy for safer transport systems. We engage schools, transport unions, communities, and policy makers to instill responsible road use and enforce safety standards. By promoting safe driving habits, proper road signage, and the use of seatbelts and helmets, TSSF works to protect all road users. Community Safety and Emergency Rapid Response (CoSERR)
The Shield Safety Foundation (TSSF) introduces the Community Safety and Emergency Rapid Response (CoSERR) initiative to safeguard lives during critical moments. CoSERR focuses on preventing community hazards, strengthening preparedness, and providing swift response to emergencies such as accidents, disasters, and violence. By training local volunteers, equipping first responders, and fostering collaboration with security and health agencies, CoSERR ensures communities are safer and resilient. Our mission is to minimize risks, save lives, and restore hope in times of crisis. Child Abuse and Domestic Violence
The Shield Safety Foundation (TSSF) is committed to protecting the most vulnerable by addressing child abuse and domestic violence. We work to create safe spaces where children and families can live free from fear, harm, and neglect. Our initiatives include awareness campaigns, counseling support, advocacy for stronger protections, and community education on prevention. By engaging schools, parents, community leaders, and law enforcement, we raise awareness on early warning signs and encourage prompt reporting. TSSF empowers survivors with resources for healing and recovery, while promoting respect, dignity, and non-violence. Together, we can break the cycle of abuse and build safer homes.
Food Drug and Alcohol Safety
The Shield Safety Foundation (TSSF) is dedicated to protecting lives by promoting food, drug, and alcohol safety. We educate communities on the dangers of contaminated food, counterfeit drugs, substance misuse, and unsafe alcohol consumption. Through awareness campaigns, advocacy, and collaboration with regulatory bodies, we encourage safe choices and strengthen consumer protection. Our programs highlight the importance of proper food handling, medication compliance, and the risks of drug and alcohol abuse, especially among youth. Safety Training and Education
The Shield Safety Foundation (TSSF) places safety training and education at the heart of its mission to prevent accidents and save lives. We design practical training programs for schools, workplaces, drivers, and communities, equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills to recognize risks and respond effectively. Our workshops cover areas such as first aid, fire safety, road use, workplace hazards, and emergency preparedness. By promoting a culture of safety through continuous learning, TSSF empowers people to protect themselves and others. Orphans and Widows Support
There are so many orphan children in nearly every rural communities in Nigeria, many of these children have been abandoned by their parents or their patents have died. Orphan Children are greatly in need of care and protection, being among the most vulnerable to extreme poverty, child labour, trafficking and sexual exploitation. The Shield Safety Foundation help vulnerable children experience love through the provision of shelter, food, health, and well-being. Your donation to TSSF for Orphans and Widows Fund goes directly to this work any amount you give will help lift a child or a forsaken widow out of extreme poverty.
Victim Support
The Shield Safety Foundation (TSSF) stands beside individuals and families affected by accidents, violence, and emergencies through our Victim Support program. We provide compassionate care, counseling, and guidance to help survivors recover emotionally, physically, and socially. Our services include psychosocial support, referrals to medical and legal aid, and empowerment programs that restore dignity and hope. By working with professionals, volunteers, and partner organizations, TSSF ensures victims are not left alone in their healing journey. We believe every survivor deserves a voice, protection, and a path to recovery. Together, we can transform pain into resilience and rebuild stronger.
Children Out of School
A looming education crisis -Education has suffered greatly in the midst of the crisis. Nigerian has millions of children aged 6-15 who are out of school. About 20 million out of school children were in the country. The percentage of children of school-age not attending school varies a lot by state, the worst affected states were Jigawa, Borno, Bauchi, Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Yobe. Essentially all 36 states and (TFC) are affected to varying extents, but there are about 7-10 states with extremely high proportions, about 50% of children out of school, due to poverty, insecurity, conflict, displacement, lack of infrastuctures, teacher availability, cultural factors, state budget and policy issues. The Shield Safety Foundation is committed to providing education for children and young adults in delicate settings, many of whom are at risk of dropping out or being left behind. Our vision is for education to be fundamentally lifesaving and life-transforming. Ultimately, we want education to equip children and young people to be the architects and guardians of their own and their communities’ futures.
Healthcare
The Shield Safety Foundation (TSSF) recognizes that access to quality healthcare is essential for building healthy, resilient communities. Our healthcare initiatives focus on promoting preventive care, supporting medical outreach, and improving access to essential services for vulnerable populations. We organize free health screenings, awareness campaigns, and medical interventions to address pressing issues such as maternal health, child welfare, infectious diseases, and chronic conditions. By partnering with healthcare providers and communities, we ensure that lifesaving knowledge and treatment reach those who need them most. At TSSF, we believe good health is the foundation for safety, dignity, and sustainable development.
Safeguarding
It is our policy at The Shield Safety Foundation to safeguard and protect populations with whom we work, including children and adults who may be particularly vulnerable. The Shield Safety Foundation has policies on child safeguarding, on protection from sexual exploitation and abuse, on safeguarding adults at risk and on preventing trafficking in persons. This foundation also safeguards populations by creating awareness among staff of what safeguarding violations are; by prohibiting safeguarding violations; and by enforcing mechanisms to address complaints about suspected safeguarding violations. The Foundation recognizes that all beneficiaries of our programs have the right to be protected from safeguarding violations, and strives to incorporate protection measures within our programming.
Research and Development
The Shield Safety Foundation is a community of researchers, decision- makers, practitioners, and community service organisation with a common interest in better understanding how social-economic and health factors impinge on the coping and adaptation capacities of disadvantaged communities in the context of climate change. The objective is to work towards alleviating social vulnerability.
